Preparatory - June 10-13 from 6:00-6:45pm

Description

Open to elementary school aged male and female children ages 5 to 11 years old. Children must be willing to participate independently without a parent. This is an entry level class for beginners. It is also the correct course for children moving up from our preschool ballet classes, are repeating our preparatory classes for skill building and proficiency, or who have previous experience in either our summer camps or at another dance studio.

Qualifications

Students must be no younger than 5 years old and no older than 11 years old by the first day of the enrolled session.

Tuition

Tuition is $50 for each four-day session. Tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Drop-off and Pick-up

Parents should bring their child into the Project Ballet lobby and wait for class to begin. Please plan to arrive about five minutes early to change into ballet shoes and take off your coat, etc. A minute or two before class is scheduled to start, our staff will take attendance and have the children line-up in the lobby to head into the classroom. Once the children have left with their teacher to begin class, parents are free to leave or you may wait in our lobby for the duration of the class. Please make sure to return promptly at the end of class. Your child's teacher will bring them back out to the lobby when class is over.

Dress Code - Female

Female dancers are required to wear pink ballet slippers, pink ballet tights and a leotard of their choice. Pink tights must have feet. Leotards may be any color and style, however leotards may NOT have attached skirts, shorts, or tutus. Just a plain bathing-suit style leotard, please. Simple rhinestones or bows, etc. are permitted, and any style sleeves are permitted. Ballet slippers can be purchased at Standing Ovation Performance Apparel, at stores such as WalMart or Target, or online. Long hair should be pulled back off the face in a ballet bun, pony tail, or similar style.

Dress Code -Male

Male dancers are required to wear a plain white undershirt style short-sleeve or long-sleeve t-shirt, black basketball shorts, white socks, and black or white ballet slippers. Please select a t-shirt size that is not too baggy or oversized, so that the teacher can easily see your child's movements. Ballet slippers can be purchased at Standing Ovation Performance Apparel, at stores such as WalMart or Target, or online. Long hair should be pulled back off the face in a ballet bun, pony tail, or similar style.

Parent Observation

The last 15 minutes of Thursdays class will be a mini performance, open for observation by parents and siblings. Observation attendees will be able to video record and take photographs during class. We ask that you please limit observation to no more than 2 attendees per student.

Join us for an evening of ballet with a circus twist! Wednesday, June 19 from 5:30-6:45pm. We'll enjoy ballet, crafts, and a performance for family at 6:30pm. Open to boys and girls ages 4-9, as well as 3 year olds who have previously completed a class session at Project Ballet. Appropriate for children with previous ballet experience, as well as complete beginners! Wear ballet clothes if you have them, if not any comfortable play clothes and socks will work just fine! Parents or caregivers can drop-off at Project Ballet, 921 Northcrest Shopping Center, and then return at 6:30pm for a mini performance - or feel free to wait in our spacious and comfortable lobby. $45 per child. Tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Let it Snow - June 20

Appropriate for children with previous ballet experience, as well as complete beginners! Wear ballet clothes if you have them, if not any comfortable play clothes and socks will work just fine!
