PREPARATORY BALLET

Careful and detailed instruction teaches students the fundamentals of beginning ballet technique and gives them the tools they need to succeed in higher levels of dance training. The Preparatory Ballet classroom is extremely focused and children will be taught proper ballet etiquette and terminology.

AGE ELIGIBILITY

Open to elementary school aged male and female children ages 5 to 11 years old. Children must be at least 5 years old by January 20, 2025. Children must be willing to participate independently without a parent. This is an entry level class for beginners. It is also the correct course for children moving up from our preschool ballet classes, or who have previous experience in either our summer camps or at another dance studio, but are new to Project Ballet.

CLASS SCHEDULE

Classes meet for 9 weeks consecutive beginning the week of January 20th.

The Tuesday class will meet from 5:15-6:00pm on 1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/18, 2/25, 3/4, 3/11, 3/18

TUITION

The 9 week session is $108. Tuition is non-refundable and non-transferrable.

DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP

Parents should bring their child into the Project Ballet lobby and wait for class to begin. Please plan to arrive about five minutes early to change into ballet shoes and take off your coat, etc. A minute or two before class is scheduled to start, our staff will take attendance and have the children line-up in the lobby to head into the classroom. Once the children have left with their teacher to begin class, parents are free to leave or you may wait in our lobby for the duration of the class. Please make sure to return promptly at the end of class. Your child's teacher will bring them back out to the lobby when class is over.

PARENT OBSERVATION

The last (ninth) class of the session will be a mini performance and recognition ceremony, open for observation by family and friends. Observation attendees will be able to video record and take photographs during class.
